🎙️ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝗺 I’ll be joining the podcast Tecnología para los Negocios by Cámara Valencia, interviewed by Jorge Ceballos, to talk about accessibility in software development.
Accessibility in mobile apps is not just a matter of disability. Millions of people may be left out without us even realizing it.
📅 This Saturday, June 28, the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) comes into effect — a regulation that will mark a turning point in digital development across Europe. Do you know what accessibility means in mobile apps and software development?
Thanks to Jorge Ceballos and Cámara Valencia for creating this space to talk about such an important topic. We hope this conversation helps raise awareness, clear up doubts, and encourage companies to take accessibility seriously — starting now.
Drawing on my experience as an Android developer at Mobivery, part of the NUNSYS group, I’ll talk about what it means for an app to be accessible, how it differs from usability, who we’re unintentionally excluding, and what failing to adapt in time could mean for businesses.
We’ll also reflect on where mobile accessibility is heading and how to integrate it from the very beginning of digital product development.
