Compose Multiplatform for web (Wasm) has reached Beta.

This means you can now take your existing Compose skills from Android, iOS, or desktop and bring them confidently to the browser with minimal effort.

Some key updates:

  • ๐ŸŒ Core APIs now stable for the web, including Material 3, adaptive layouts, navigation, and accessibility.
  • ๐Ÿ–ฅ IDE support with the Kotlin Multiplatform plugin, available on Linux, Windows, and macOS. Run and debug web apps directly in IntelliJ IDEA or Android Studio.
  • ๐Ÿ“ฑ iOS improvements: frame rate configuration and refined text input.
  • ๐Ÿ’ป Desktop improvements: new window management APIs.
  • ๐ŸŽจ All platforms: configurable previews and advanced shadow customisation.

This release marks a turning point: Compose Multiplatform is no longer just experimental on the web โ€” itโ€™s shaping up as a unified UI framework across Android, iOS, desktop, and now browsers.
